AuraFold makes speakers for a life spent moving. The brand’s products are designed from the outside in: first, what does this need to survive? Then, what does it need to sound like? The answer to the first question is IPX5 water resistance, fold-flat compressibility, a charge that lasts the weekend, and a hinge that doesn’t rattle. The answer to the second is: better than it should at this size, using passive radiator engineering and careful tuning to extract genuine low-end extension from cabinets that fit in a jacket pocket. AuraFold’s design language is outdoor and contemporary — earthy colourways, woven fabric grilles, recycled materials wherever possible — because the people who take their music into the world tend to care about the world they’re taking it into.
